Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of the Terms of Use and applies to all users of UplinkHosting’s services (“Services”). It exists to protect our customers, network, and the internet community from abuse.

2. Prohibited Content & Activities

  • Illegal content: Any content or activity that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Hate speech & extremism: Content that promotes violence, harassment, or discrimination against individuals or groups; material supporting extremist or terrorist activity.
  • Malware & deception: Hosting or distributing malware, phishing kits, credential harvesting pages, or deceptive content.
  • Exploitation: Content involving sexual exploitation, non-consensual imagery, or doxxing.
  • Incitement & threats: Direct threats of violence or content intended to organize or incite harm.
  • High-risk services without approval: Public VPN/proxy exit nodes, bulletproof hosting, stressors/booter services, crypto mining pools, or Tor exit relays without prior written consent.

3. Security & Network Integrity

  • No unauthorized access attempts, port scanning, scraping that burdens services, or denial-of-service activity.
  • No open resolvers, open SMTP relays, or misconfigured services that enable abuse.
  • Keep your software patched and configured securely; you are responsible for your instances and credentials.
  • Resource abuse (CPU, disk, bandwidth, IOPS) that degrades service for others may result in rate limiting or suspension.

4. Email, Bulk Messaging & Spam

  • Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email is prohibited.
  • Transactional and opt‑in marketing mail must use proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and include working unsubscribe mechanisms.
  • Purchased, scraped, or third‑party lists are not allowed.

5. Intellectual Property

Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not host copyrighted works without authorization or content that infringes trademarks or other rights. Rights holders may report alleged infringement using the process below.

6. Reporting Abuse

Please report abuse or copyright complaints to abuse@uplinkhosting.net with URLs, logs, and any relevant headers. For copyright notices, include identification of the work, the infringing material, contact information, and a statement of good‑faith belief.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate violations and may suspend or terminate Services at our discretion, with or without notice, consistent with our Terms of Use. We may cooperate with law enforcement where required.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
